Our Goals

On HR Journal we discuss two aspects of career management: first, successful job hunting and, second, surviving and succeeding on the job.  Any of us has certain experience and has something to say on either of these subjects.  Sharing our experience is one of the main factors of a successful career.  But, if you lack a significant work experience so far, why not use the one of somebody else.

We have to warn you in the beginning that it is not another version of an ultimate job-seekers’ guideline.  However, you can find here some tips to assist you in your job search.  You will not see here any assurance that “you can land a job in 10 days” and recommendations how to do this.  We doubt general applicability of such recommendations.  But you will definitely find here details that you should pay attention to while looking for a job, the details that are often overlooked by many job seekers.

You will not find here overwhelming discussions on scientific career management or Labour legislation.  The literature on this topic is quite extensive. There are already plenty of government sites talking on this subject in the specific legal language that is sometimes hard to get. But on HR Journal you might read about some facts related to your rights at work that you perhaps did not know about before. We tried to be grounded in reality by presenting real-life situations described in a non-technical language.

Sharing knowledge, ideas and experience is the main goal of this site.  We also would like to invite you to join our on-line community and share your ideas on the matters mentioned on this site or raise some other topics for further discussion.  Please feel free to let us know what you think.
